Benefit Concert for Peace – Concertgebouw Amsterdam

In light of the recent unrest that commenced on October 7th, impacting Israel, Gaza, and the surrounding areas, the Jewish Amsterdam Chamber Ensemble champions the belief, inspired by maestro Leonard Bernstein:

“Our response to violence is to make music more intensely, more beautifully, and with more devotion than ever before!”

As a testament to this philosophy, we are collaborating with our Muslim peers to organize a benefit concert for peace.

All funds raised from this event will be channeled to Zaka Emergency Relief (operating in Israel) and the Norwegian Refugee Council (active in Gaza).

Event Details

Join us on November 1, 2023 at 8:15pm in the intimate setting of Concertgebouw’s Recital Hall (Kleine Zaal). We’re grateful that the Concertgebouw has graciously donated the venue to this cause.

Our Ambassadors of Peace, cellist Maya Fridman and pianist/percussionist Farid Sheek, will join hands with fellow talented musicians, to grace the stage for this special occasion.

We are also very fortunate to announce that Frank Affolter will be bringing his own musical message of peace to the stage.
